Demand Congress Finally Punish Sanctuary Cities!
Sanctuary cities—state and local jurisdictions with policies that obstruct immigration enforcement—pose a serious danger to our communities. Americans across the country have demanded that Congress act to punish sanctuary cities since Kate Steinle was tragically shot and killed July 2015 in San Francisco by an illegal alien with seven convictions and five previous deportations.
And now another case demonstrates this once again.
Corporal Ronil Singh, a police officer with the with the City of Newman (SANCTUARY STATE) California Police Department, was recently murdered during a routine stop of a suspected drunk driver. Cpl. Singh was a lawful immigrant from Fiji who sought a career serving his adopted community as a law enforcement officer. And, through hard work and determination, he achieved his American dream.
Gustavo Perez Arriaga, the man accused of killing Cpl. Singh, was an illegal alien. He was also a suspected member of the vicious Sureños street gang, known for murder, extortion, kidnapping, drug smuggling and human trafficking.
Outrageously, the Senate still has not passed legislation to punish these jurisdictions that defy federal law and cost innocent American citizens’ their lives. Make your voice heard and demand the Senate act during the Lame Duck. Tell them:
